Environment friendly cables and wires launched in Bhutan

An Indian company dealing with wires and cables, RR Kabel, in collaboration with a local company, Bhutan Building solutions (BBS), launched environment friendly wires and cables for various residential and commercial units, industries and infrastructure purposes in Thimphu yesterday

The companies envision establishing its brand in the service of the country, which they believe the products are particularly suited for.

RR Kabel, meanwhile, is an integral part of the RR Global, a USD 650mn corporation. RR Kabel is also one of the leading conglomerates in the electrical sector and its brand name exists in over 80 countries and seven continents across the globe.

The Chairman of RR Global, Tribhuvan Kabra, said it is company relying on Germany technology, where Kabel means cable in Germany.

“It is eco-friendly and human friendly wires and cables. It gives no emission, which is smokeless. It is the safest wires which will not catch fires,” said the chairman, adding that it is 100% safe for homes too.

The chairman said they also got approval from the Bhutan Standards Bureau to sell their products here in Bhutan; thus taking the numbers of approval to 29 international and export to 78 countries around the world.

“We believe in development where technology, human safety and environment all work in harmony with each other,” the Chairman said, adding that they have also received orders from some of the organizations in Bhutan.

As an ISO certified company, RR Kabel has also been accredited with multiple product certifications.

Tribhuvan Kabra said, “Most of the products are energy saving and innovative.”
