Bhutanese man dies in accident at Bkk

A 27-year old Bhutanese man died after he was crushed under the wheels of a 22-wheeler truck on the morning of November 21 in northern Phuket, Thailand.

The deceased who had been working as a chef for Aleenta Resort and Spa in Phuket was living in Thailand for the last three years.

The accident occurred while he was travelling to his work station on a motorbike with his friend.

The truck collided with the bike throwing the driver of the bike about 10m away from the road while the deceased was crushed over.The survivor is still admitted in the hospital.

According to sources from Bangkok, the truck is under police custody but the police are waiting for the survivor’s version of the story.

Colonel Dorji Wangchuk of Royal Bhutan Police said that details of how the incident occurred are not known.The body of the deceased was flown in from Bangkok yesterday afternoon.
