Bhutan Agro Industries Limited (BAIL), operating under the renowned Royal Bhutan brand, has inaugurated the expanded Natural & Organic Beverage Outlet in Phuentsholing, marking a significant step in promoting sustainable agriculture and healthier living. The outlet officially opened on 16 October 2025 at Gerab Khangzang (Lama Building), 1st Floor, Norkhil Lam.
The expansion is strategically designed to make high-quality, chemical-free beverages and foods more accessible to local residents and neighboring communities in India, offering products at wholesale prices. According to RN Dungana, Marketing Assistant at BAIL, “The expansion reflects our continued commitment to supporting Bhutanese farmers, improving public health, and strengthening the sustainable agriculture sector. Limited availability of Bhutanese organic products in Phuentsholing motivated us to open the outlet here to promote healthier lifestyles.”
All raw materials used by BAIL are sourced from fully certified Bhutanese farms that adhere strictly to organic and chemical-free practices. The company’s production facilities are certified under ISO standards in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by the Bhutan Agriculture & Food Regulatory Authority (BAFDA), ensuring world-class standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.
Through its Farmers’ Support Department, BAIL provides technical assistance, contract farming opportunities, and guaranteed market access to rural producers, thereby empowering farming communities and fostering sustainable livelihoods across Bhutan.
The Phuentsholing outlet offers 49 varieties of natural and organic products, catering to the rising demand for locally produced, chemical-free foods and beverages. Key offerings include:
- Fruit Juices: Pure Apple, Mango, Guava, and Orange (no added sugar)
- Squashes: Orange, Pineapple, Lemon
- Wellness Beverages: Apple Cider Vinegar, Citrus Tea
- Jams, Preserves, and Pickles: Locally sourced and chemical-free
- Mountain Spring Water: Premium Himalayan water, purified through 11 stages of filtration
Free delivery services within the city enhance accessibility, reflecting BAIL’s focus on consumer convenience and satisfaction.
Each product embodies BAIL’s mission to deliver natural, safe, and wholesome nutrition while supporting Bhutan’s self-reliance and organic vision. The company’s ongoing expansions set a benchmark in Bhutan’s agro-processing industry, combining consumer wellness with sustainable agricultural practices.
Looking ahead, BAIL plans to open another outlet in Gelephu next month, continuing its efforts to broaden the reach of natural and organic products across the country.
