A 52-year old man was killed in an accident when the private bolero he was driving toward Dorokha from Samtse town veered off the road about seven meters at Peepli under Dorokha dungkhag, 32km away from Samtse on May 1.
The accident took place at around 2pm. The driver succumbed to injuries while the only passenger in bolero survived but suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Samtse hospital in another bolero.
The survivor is 57 years old and is recovering in Samtse hospital.
The body of the deceased has been handed over to his relatives has been taken to his village for the final rites.
The deceased is from Dogar village, Dophuchen gewog under Samtse Dzongkhag.
According to the police, the probable cause of the accident is due to improper control over the vehicle while negotiating a turning.
