The Marriott India Business Council marked a significant milestone on October 11, 2025, celebrating the 11th edition of its flagship philanthropic initiative, “Road to Give.” This regional movement, uniting associates, partners, and community members across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, underscores a collective commitment to movement, compassion, and social responsibility.
What started over a decade ago as a small effort to foster fitness and giving among associates has grown into a powerful regional movement that inspires empathy, inclusion, and community impact throughout South Asia. The initiative exemplifies Marriott’s core values of care and service, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and social responsibility.
In Thimphu, Bhutan, the 2025 edition was jointly organized by Le Méridien Thimphu and Le Méridien Paro Riverfront. Over 90 associates and local residents participated in various activities such as running, walking, cycling, and other forms of movement—all for a noble cause. The event successfully raised over Nu 4.58 Lacs to support an NGO dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for children.
Reinforcing Marriott’s commitment to “Putting People First,” participating hotels hosted community wellness events, service runs, and volunteer activities aimed at promoting physical well-being and the joy of giving back.
“Each year, Road to Give reminds us of the extraordinary power of collective purpose. As we commemorate the 11th year of this remarkable initiative, we celebrate not just the funds raised or the miles covered, but the spirit of unity and compassion our associates bring to their communities. Their efforts continue to strengthen Marriott’s legacy of care and commitment across the region.” said Nitin Gupta, Director of Operations for Le Méridien Thimphu and Amit Talwar, General Manager of Le Méridien Paro Riverfront.
Over the years, “Road to Give” has become a cornerstone of Marriott’s culture of giving, encouraging associates to be agents of change and advocates for wellness, inclusion, and empathy. Each edition reinforces the belief that true success is measured by uplifting others and contributing to sustainable social progress.
Looking ahead, the Marriott India Business Council expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, partners, and supporters for making the 2025 edition a success. Every step taken and every rupee contributed brings the region closer to a more compassionate, inclusive future rooted in the spirit of giving.
Notably, the initiative’s impact extends beyond fundraising. Rinchen Phuntsho, Vice Principal of Changangkha Middle Secondary School, acknowledged that “Road to Give” continues the legacy of movement and meaningful change. The funds raised will empower students with disabilities at Changangkha MSS, providing essential equipment to develop their skills in art and craft, cooking, laundry, mushroom cultivation, and tailoring—shaping their futures and enhancing their talents.
